Five Palestinian militants were killed by an Israeli aircraft in what appears to be a targeted killing. An undercover Israeli operation left one Palestinian militant dead.
Two noncombatant Palestinian farmers, 60 and 34, were killed by IDF troops.
Two children, 12 and 13, were killed by Israeli missiles aimed at Qassam rocket launchers. Five other children were wounded in the attack. A baby, 7 months-old, was killed by shrapnel when the IDF fired on the Ministry of the Interior building in Gaza.
A 47 year-old Israeli civilian was killed by a Qassam rocket fired by Hamas into Israel.

Israel bombs Gaza after Hamas rocket attack
Israel initated massive airstrikes in retaliation for the death of an Israeli civilian on the 27th. Among the dead were four children, aged 8-14, who had been playing football. Many Palestinian militants were also killed throughout Gaza. In addition, two militants were killed in a clash with the IDF in the West Bank.
