Dr. Sadowski has written about the political economy of Syria, agricultural policy in Egypt, arms control in the Gulf, Islamic movements in Bosnia, and the alleged connection between globalization and ethnic conflict. He teaches courses on state formation, oil, Middle East history and research methodology at Johns Hopkins, SAIS. He is a consultant on political risk questions for the Petroleum Finance Company. In the past, Dr. Sadowski taught at the University of California, Berkeley and for many years was a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from UCLA.
