Ambassador Freeman is president of the Middle East Policy Council as well as chairman of Projects International, Inc, a twenty-year-old firm specializing in taking clients into new markets abroad. He had a distinguished diplomatic career in Asia and Africa, including service as U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War and as assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs. He is the author of Arts of Power: Statecraft and Diplomacy (1997) and The Diplomat's Dictionary (revised edition, 1997). He is a graduate of Yale University and the Harvard Law School.
