Areas of Expertise North Africa
Dr. Zartman has taught at the University of South Carolina, at New York University where he served as department head and as associate director of the Center for International Studies, and at the American University in Cairo. He has written extensively on North Africa and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is president of The Tangier American Legation Museum Society. Dr. Zartman holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Yale University.
