Dr. Van Dusen has been a research associate with the Brookings Institution, editorial assistant for the Middle East Journal, and he served for 28 years on the staff of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (now Committee on Foreign Relations) as staff director of the Subcommittee on Europe and the Middle East, and then chief of staff of the Committee. Dr. Van Dusen received his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University.
