Areas of Expertise Iran, U.S. Policy
Karim Sadjadpour is currently an associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Prior to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace he was the Iran analyst for the International Crisis Group, based in Tehran and Washington DC. He has written widely on Iranian state and society, Iran's nuclear program, Iran-Arab relations, and U.S.-Iran relations. He is a regular contributor to BBC World, CNN, National Public Radio, and PBS's NewsHour, and has also written in the Washington Post, the New York Times, International Herald Tribune, New Republic, and others. He has been invited to testify before Congressional hearings as well as the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He has degrees from the University of Michigan and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, was a visiting fellow at the American University of Beirut, and has been the recipient of numerous academic fellowships, including a Fulbright scholarship. He has lived in Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East and speaks Persian, Spanish, Italian, and conversant Arabic.
