Palestine

Dr. Roy is conducting a research project on the Islamic movement in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, examining the social and economic sectors of the movement and their relationship to Islamic political and military institutions. Her research is supported by a grant from the Research and Writing Initiative of the Program on Global Security and Sustainability of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. One of her many publications is the book, The Gaza Strip: The Political Economy of De-Development. Her most recent publication (as editor) is The Economics of Middle East Peace: A Reassessment. She holds a doctorate in Administration, Planning and Social Policy (with a specialization in International Development) from Harvard University.
