Areas of Expertise Israel, Palestine, Peace Process
Dr. Lustick has worked as an analyst in the U.S. Department of State and has been a regular consultant on Middle East policy and analysis for both Democratic and Republican administrations. He has published widely on Arab-Israeli relations and Middle East politics. He won an American Political Science Association award in 1995 for the best book in politics and history: Unsettled States, Disputed Lands: Britain and Ireland, France and Algeria, Israel and the West Bank-Gaza. His most recent book is Trapped in the War on Terror. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a past president of the Association for Israel Studies. Dr. Lustick holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley.
