Dr. Ansary received his Bachelor's Degree from King Abdul-Aziz University in Saudi Arabia, Department of Islamic Studies. He then received his Master's Degree from Umm al-Qura University, Department of Comparative Law. Since then, he has obtained an LL.M. Degree from Harvard Law School and a S.J.D. Degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, which qualify him to practice law within any jurisdiction in Saudi Arabia. He has held positions as a consultant, full-time lecturer at King Abdul-Aziz University and as a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School. He has also worked as a member of a task force, established to create reports that provide incoming administrations with strategic roadmaps to address issues such as national security and terrorism. He is currently serving as a Senior Fellow of the Homeland Security Policy Institute (HSPI) at George Washington University and as a Senior Research Fellow of the Arabian Peninsula Gulf Studies Program (APAG) at the University of Virginia.
