    The Middle East Policy Council is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan, educational organization founded in 1981 to provide policymakers and the public with credible, comprehensive information and analysis on political, economic, and cultural issues pertaining to U.S.-Middle East.


The National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations held its annual policymakers conference. After opening remarks from the chair of the board of directors and the CEO of the council, a panel discussed the current situation for Palestinians. The panelists included James Zogby, founding president of the Arab American Institute; Zaha Hassan, a former legal adviser to the Palestinian team that negotiated U.N. membership in 2010; and Elizabeth Campbell, the Palestinian director for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.
