The Middle East Policy Council is an educational organization founded in 1981. Its purpose is to contribute to the American understanding of the political, economic and cultural issues that affect U.S. interests in the Middle East. The Council is a 501(c)3 non-profit, tax-exempt corporation. Donations to the Council are tax deductible. We welcome donations from individuals, corporations, and others. You can give online securely by clicking on this link. You can also assist the Council’s efforts by subscribing to our quarterly journal, Middle East Policy, through the following link.
The Council’s annual budget is approximately $900,000, which is funded entirely by the generosity of donors. In addition to direct contributions to meet the ongoing operating expenses of the journal, quarterly Capitol Hill conferences, and national teacher workshops, we are also raising funds for the following:
1. Grow our small endowment: In order to secure the Council’s future, we seek to build our small endowment. This would produce income to make up for any shortfall in fundraising in any future year.
2. Grow our small staff: In order to do more as an organization, we require greater staff support. Donations towards this goal will enable us to produce more Capitol Hill conferences and seminars, expand our teacher workshops, and fund visiting scholars to contribute to the journal and other forums for policy debate.
