Dr. Bahry is formerly a professor of political science and head of the department of public administration at the University of Qatar. He taught Middle East politics and history at the University of Baghdad, as well as the University of Algiers and Ohio State University. Dr. Bahry was professor of public administration and Middle East history at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He recently contributed an article to Middle East Policy entitled "Qatari Women: A New Generation of Leaders?" (2005). He holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Montpellier, France.
