Prior to joining ANERA, Dr. Gubser was assistant representative and social-science project specialist with the Ford Foundation in Lebanon and Jordan, an associate research scientist with the American Institutes for Research in Washington, DC, and a research fellow at the department of government of the University of Manchester, England. He has written books and articles on economic and social development in the Middle East. He received his Ph.D. in social sciences from St. Antony's College, Oxford University.
